Our Facilities

Located on 45 acres of hardwood forest in Haliburton County, Creative Minds Learning Center offers the perfect location to learn, play, explore and grow.

With endless greenspace, our learning facilities provide ample opportunities for our learners.

Our property provides a great variety of experiences, all of them offering their own unique learning experiences.

  • Log cabin school house with learning space, and full kitchen to provide excellent hands on, experiential learning opportunities. The cabin has heating and air conditioning for the year round comfort of students allowing them to focus on what’s important: learning.
  • 45 acres of hardwood forest with many kilometers of trails for year round exploration opportunities and a working sugar bush allowing for students to see how maple syrup is produced
  • Large garden for students to learn how food is grown and where it comes from
  • Beaver ponds and waterfront within walking distance
  • A chicken coop allowing students to learn about animals
  • An apple orchard providing students an opportunity to see how apples are grown and even turn them into delicious apple cider, apple sauce, and apple butter among other things.
Fields, trees and the always popular play space are just steps away from the classroom.
An orchard offers not just learning opportunities, but delicious, healthy snacks too.
Our feathered friends offer not only eggs every morning, but an opportunity to learn about animals in a hands on way.
